Magnets for Sensor applications

We can design magnets to provide specific field strengths at a required position relative to the magnet. We can design magnets to trigger Hall Effect devices at different locations compared to the magnet that may have come with the Hall Effect device (to expand the Hall Effect capability). We can work with you to design a magnet to trigger a Reed Switch correctly (so you do not need to use the reed manufacturer test coils). Because Reed Switches have ampere-turn trigger levels instead of Gauss or Tesla values, it is not simple to convert from A-t to mT (there is no equation that can be applied for any Reed Switch device there are many variables to factor in which makes an equation impossible) but we do have a simple test method that will determine the actual required mT trigger values that can then allow a re-design using a magnet to trigger the Reed Switch at the required location in your application.

If you have a magnet that works but not quite well enough we can help you get a magnet that will work as you want. And we can supply test samples to approve and then mass produce afterwards.
